Hi, I’m marilyn
I currently reside in Utah, and have spent many years traveling and living around the world. I truly feel like the whole world is my home.
I am an artist. I love to create in every way - it’s just what I do! I am always exploring new mediums and methods, but I currently love tattooing, oil pastels, and paint.
I grew up with extremely painful periods, and this set me on a path to advocate for women and girls. Much of my art is focused on empowering and advocating for people who are pregnant, menstruating, or new mothers. Giving birth and raising my own son has only deepened my passion for it all. I worked in a birth center and taught prenatal yoga for years, and studied gender studies in university.
I love to spend my time outside in any way, the desert, play music with friends and family, tea, dance, and a good garden snack on the porch.

Nope. I have always created art as a more personal creative expression, I never really planned on it being my full time career. I’ve been teaching yoga since 2014, studied Anthropology & Women’s and Gender Studies in University, then worked at a local Birth Center. Now I get to combine all my passions in one place here at Studio Marilyn! Mindfulness, equality, feminism, birth, and art… can’t get much better than that!
